Installing MeMe Care on your phone
MeMe Care is in beta, so install isn't quite the one-tap App Store flow yet. Here's what to expect on iPhone and Android during the beta period.
iPhone (TestFlight, beta only)
When we approve your beta sign-up, Apple sends a TestFlight invitation to the email you used. The subject usually reads something like "The developer of MeMe Care has invited you to test their app."
Tap the "View in TestFlight" button in that email on the iPhone you want to install on. If TestFlight isn't already on the phone, the App Store offers it as a free install. Once TestFlight opens, tap Install on the MeMe Care page. The app appears on the home screen the same way any App Store app does.
Open MeMe Care and sign in with the same email Apple sent the TestFlight invite to. The two emails have to match — otherwise the app won't recognize you. If the TestFlight email never arrives, check spam first, then write to us and we'll re-add you.
Android (Play closed testing, beta only)
Our welcome email to Android testers includes a Google Play link. Open that email on the Android phone you want to install on and tap the link.
Play opens to the MeMe Care page with a "Become a tester" button. Tap it. After a few seconds the page refreshes and the green Install button appears. Tap Install, wait for it to download, and open the app.
Sign in with the same email we sent the welcome email to. The two emails have to match — Play uses your Google account to verify you're an approved tester, and we use the email to look up your seat. If they don't match, sign-in will fail.
What if install or sign-in fails
Most install issues come down to one of three things: the TestFlight or Play invite never arrived, the email used to sign in doesn't match the email we provisioned, or the app crashed on first launch. The troubleshooting guide covers each one.
